Looking for a talented high school running writer!
Running in the Family is running a contest to select a high school student as our featured blogger

I was never much of a runner in high school. I only ran one season of Track my freshman year – and I didn’t do that very well. I didn’t really start enjoying running until after college. But I know that high school running is a huge part of many running families.
I want this site to be useful to high school runners, and parents of high school runners. And I think the best way to do that is to have a high school runner write that content. I’m not necessarily looking for the fastest runner on the Track team, or the most admired, or the Coach’s favorite. I’m looking for a high school runner who can write. Someone who can relate to their teammates. Someone who will provide useful information here that high school track athletes and their families can’t get from Runners’ World or mainstream running sites.
If you are a high school runner who can write, or if you know one, then check out our contest page for more information.
So go on. Give it a shot. Submit an article. Or if you’re in high school and can’t write, find that friend of yours who really can write, and convince her to submit an article. If you’re a parent who has a high school child who can write, encourage them to submit an article.
Spread the word, and pass this on! I want this site to feature outstanding and relevant information for families with high school runners. And I can only do that with your help.
